Nathan East: “Wow, some of these bass players are crazy good!

Will Kennedy: “Wow! That was an amazing line up this year!!

From Lee Ritenour:

Congratulations to all our final winners, our runner ups, semi finalists and everyone who participated in the 2014 Six String Theory competition!

You’ll notice from the final list of winners that it was a truly global contest, and as I mentioned before, I had the best seat in the house watching guitar, piano, bass, and drum videos from literally all over the world…

It was fascinating to work closely with all our legendary judges and you’ll see from their quotes that they were knocked out with everyone! It is so amazing the way music and musicians impact the listener.  Often the voting came down to a one point difference between the players…

I continue to encourage everyone to keep on your individual journeys… Learning and growing on your instrument is a lifetime struggle and being in the music business adds additional challenges, but the joy we receive from music and ultimately give back to our listeners is something that we must always hold sacred.

Good luck to everyone on your continued journey… we’ll be back in 2016 for the next competition so hope to see you then!

– Lee
