FREE Festival Live Performances, Workshops & Jams

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (May 16, 2016) – Guitar Town will return to Copper Mountain on August 12-14, 2016 for the 12th annual showcase of amazing live music. The annual, popular, FREE outdoor festival has become widely known for gathering some of the very best guitar virtuosos in the world.

This year’s high-powered bill will include performances by Lee Ritenour, Guitar Army featuring Robben Ford, Lee Roy Parnell, Joe Robinson, John Jorgenson (performing in three different configura- tions: John Jorgenson Quintet [gypsy jazz], J2B2 – John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, & John Jorgenson Electric Band with special guest Redd Volkaert), Martin Taylor, Frank Vignola with Vinny Raniolo and Olli Soikkeli, Laurence Juber, Mark Selby with special guest Stig Mathisen, Cindy Cashdollar, Scott Goldman, and Hendrix Revolution with Randy Hansen.

Guitar Town’s first-ever Friday Night Kick-Off Party will feature Hendrix Revolution with Randy Hansen on Friday, August 12. The festival’s Acoustic Day is set for Saturday, August 13, and Electric Day will take place Sunday, August 14. Day-ending all-star guitar jams and lively informative morning guitar workshops with artists from the Guitar Town lineup are always highly anticipated events. At the work- shops, guitar students and fans are granted an opportunity to connect on a personal level with the gui- tarists in a “living room-style” format while taking in once-in-a-lifetime jams, gaining valuable technical insight, and hearing entertaining stories. On both August 13 & 14, the guitar workshops, moderated by The GRAMMY Foundation’s Scott Goldman, run from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Copper Confer- ence Center, and live music begins on the Guitar Town Main Stage at Noon. Guitar Center will be on-site offering re-stringing and tune-ups for guitars with it’s Guitar Center Garage.
